Medical detoxification or “detox” is most people’s first step in the addiction treatment process. Discontinuing the use of substances can cause discomfort and, in some cases, may lead to risky withdrawal symptoms. Our medical detox program will help you or someone else in your life get off of substances safely and reach a place of physical stability before entering another level of care. Usually, detox lasts 1-2 weeks.

Residential inpatient treatment temporarily removes you from everyday life triggers, allowing you to create new habits and patterns in a supervised, substance-free space. We offer short and long-term residential inpatient treatment programs.

Our short-term residential inpatient program consists of a treatment stay typically lasting around 30-90 days, though the exact duration of your program will depend on your individual needs. In residential inpatient treatment, you’ll eat, sleep, and live on-site and will have a full treatment schedule of groups, individual therapy, and other activities during the day. You will have access to all of our amenities, including but not limited to daily chef-prepared meals and a fitness center, sauna, and jacuzzi. 

Long-term residential inpatient treatment is an extended version of a traditional residential inpatient program. Longer treatment stays are associated with positive recovery outcomes and can be a game-changer for those with severe addiction symptoms, who experience chronic relapse, or who benefit from prolonged residential inpatient care for another reason.

The partial hospitalization program at SOBA NJ’s Little Ferry drug rehab is a level of care between a residential inpatient and a traditional outpatient program. As a PHP client, you’ll have a full weekly treatment schedule and will attend care multiple days per week but will get to go home or return to our sober living apartments at night. PHP can be an initial level of care, or it can be a step down from a higher level of care.

PHP is ideal for those who require a level of care that is more intensive than a traditional outpatient program provides but can maintain sobriety and manage symptoms outside of a controlled setting.

The intensive outpatient program at SOBA NJ requires a lower total time commitment per week than PHP but still delivers comprehensive care through a combination of groups, individual therapy, and other treatment activities. While you will still attend treatment multiple days per week as an IOP client, the increased flexibility of the program makes it ideal for those who need to tend to external obligations like work or school while in substance abuse treatment.

Outpatient is the lowest level of care at SOBA NJ. Our outpatient program requires a low time commitment of 1-9 hours per week and is suitable for those who have reached a stable place in recovery but are working on relapse prevention.

SOBA NJ proudly offers telehealth services for those who can’t attend in-person treatment. Our telehealth services are HIPAA-compliant and are conducted by licensed professionals. The telehealth services offered by SOBA NJ include but aren’t limited to assessments, consultations, follow-up meetings, individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management.

Family members of those in our addiction treatment programs may benefit from the family program at SOBA NJ. Our family program meets on Thursdays and is designed to provide education, community, and support to family members of those facing addiction.

As you prepare to graduate from your treatment program at our Little Ferry drug rehab center, we’ll help you create a relapse prevention and aftercare plan before your release date to set you up for success post-treatment. Depending on your needs, an aftercare plan may involve continued therapy, medication management, support groups, job and housing support, or something else. 

You can also access our alumni program once you exit treatment at SOBA NJ. Our alumni services include but aren’t restricted to weekly meetings, which help you stay connected to your support system once treatment is over.
