For most clients, treatment starts with medical detoxification or detox services.

Residential inpatient treatment gives you the time and space to heal and create new patterns away from everyday life triggers. In residential inpatient treatment, you eat, sleep, and live on-site in our luxury, substance-free facility with staff members present. 

Our short-term residential treatment program consists of 35 hours of counseling per week, including 34 hours of group counseling and one hour of individual counseling.

Short-term residential inpatient treatment lasts for about 30-90 days on average, but the length of your stay will be unique to you. As a residential inpatient client, you’ll have access to all of our on-site amenities.

Long-term residential inpatient treatment is exactly what it sounds like. This extended form of residential inpatient treatment usually lasts for six months or more. Clients with severe addiction symptoms or those who need more time in a supervised, substance-free inpatient treatment facility for another reason can benefit from long-term inpatient treatment at our Bayonne drug rehab center. 

Longer treatment stays are associated with positive outcomes in research and can be ideal for some clients. In long-term rehab, you have more time to solidify new patterns and routines, which can be a game-changer for clients, even if treatment hasn’t worked in the past.

A partial hospitalization program or PHP is a level of care between inpatient hospitalization and standard outpatient treatment programs. As a PHP client, you will have the freedom of living outside of an inpatient treatment center. However, you will maintain a comprehensive treatment schedule consisting of groups, individual therapy, and other activities and will commute to your treatment center most days of the week.

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers flexible but structured addiction treatment. The main distinction between PHP and IOP is that IOP consists of fewer total treatment hours per week than PHP, allowing clients increased flexibility and more time for external commitments.

IOP is most suitable for those with a stable living environment who need to work, go to school, or care for their family while in treatment. It can also be ideal for those transitioning out of a higher level of care.

Our outpatient program is highly flexible. Since it includes 1-9 treatment hours per week, our outpatient program is most often used for those with minor symptoms or who are transitioning out of a higher level of care.

SOBA NJ’s sober living options are one of many features that set us apart as a leader in addiction treatment. We own multiple sober living facilities for clients in distinct stages of recovery, which follow our three-phase approach to addiction treatment. 

Traditionally, sober living is a supportive housing option for those in recovery that combines the freedom of a standard rental agreement with the accountability of living in a 100% drug and alcohol-free space. For example, clients in SOBA NJ’s PHP, IOP, or outpatient programs often stay in our sober living apartments to make their daily commute to treatment more convenient. 

Those in our medical detox or residential treatment programs will reside in a living space with more supervision. If you start with a higher level of care and move down to a lower level of care, your sober living placement will change as you progress in treatment.

SOBA NJ offers virtual addiction and mental health treatment services for those unable to attend in-person care. Your online sessions will be led by licensed professionals. Our telemedicine or telehealth services include consultations, assessments, groups, individual therapy sessions, medication management, and routine follow-up meetings.
