Treatment can feel out of reach when you’re worried about cost, but many people have benefits that can help. If you have coverage through an employer or a family plan, your policy may include support for substance use and mental health care. Since the Affordable Care Act, most plans are required to offer this kind of coverage.

SOBA New Jersey works with many major providers, including plans administered by MagnaCare. MagnaCare is a third-party administrator rather than an insurance company, but if your plan is managed through them, your benefits may still apply here. MagnaCare Coverage for Mental Health Care

Many MagnaCare plans cover mental health care alongside addiction treatment

MagnaCare plans are administered through insurance carriers, and many include benefits for mental health treatment. Under the Affordable Care Act, mental health coverage must be offered at a level comparable to physical health coverage. So if your employer plan is administered by MagnaCare, it will likely include some level of support for mental health care.

That matters because mental health concerns often overlap with substance use. Someone dealing with alcohol or drug use, for example, may also be experiencing depression, anxiety, or another condition that needs attention. When both are present, we can build a dual-diagnosis treatment plan that addresses the mental health side and the substance use side together, so care is more complete and effective.
