Our Treatment Programs
Setting the Standard for Quality Treatment in Voorhees
Breaking the cycle of substance abuse is a deeply difficult and personal journey. At our addiction treatment center in New Jersey, we leverage our team’s tremendous insight and training to deliver high-quality clinical care at a more affordable and flexible recovery schedule than traditional residential treatment options.
We offer two outpatient treatment programs:
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Our intensive outpatient program is ideal for those who can benefit from in-depth care while still maintaining the ability to work, continue school, and attend to existing obligations. Clients have access to professional counseling, therapy, and mental health treatment, as well as a variety of resources, support groups, and educational courses. IOP sessions amount to 9 hours per week and are typically spread over three or more days.
- Outpatient Program: Our outpatient program allows clients to continue their recoveries while developing critical relapse prevention skills. Outpatient program services mirror those provided through out intensive program, but at a reduced treatment schedule; weekly outpatient care typically amounts to less than 9 treatment hours and can be tailored to as few as 3 hours over several days. This flexibility allows clients to maintain a work-life-recovery balance that gradually tapers toward a single 1-hour treatment session per week.

Why Choose Our Voorhees Rehab Center?
How We Can Help Voorhees Residents
At SOBA New Jersey, we offer outpatient treatment. Outpatient rehab is a form of addiction treatment that generally involves participation in periodic meetings, therapies, and other related courses or counseling throughout the week. Unlike inpatient programs, outpatient rehab allows a person to live at home and maintain their routine and schedule while still obtaining professional support for their recovery.
Some of the benefits of outpatient care include:
- Flexibility in your recovery schedule
- Fewer disruptions to your daily life and existing obligations
- Lower costs than inpatient treatment programs
- The ability to continue employment or school
- The ability to maintain a personal life outside of treatment
- The ability to integrate recovery into your daily life and routine
Is Outpatient Rehab Right for Me?
How We Hand-Craft Your Individual Treatment Plan
At SOBA New Jersey, clients who enroll in our outpatient programs are often approaching the end of their “formal” substance abuse recoveries. However, some seek outpatient care to refresh an existing recovery after months or years of sobriety, supplement other types of treatment programs, or address their substance use and mental health issues through a more flexible schedule.
Outpatient rehab in New Jersey may be a good option for people who:
- Are seeking flexible addiction treatment for their post-detox care.
- Have completed a residential program and wish to expand upon their recovery while assimilating into a sober life as part of their long-term care.
- Require a refresher on relapse prevention and access to flexible counseling and support.
- Are exhibiting potential signs of substance abuse or newly forming addictions.
- Want to address their mental health and build a stronger foundation for their recovery.
- Have a solid network of support at home, but still want in-depth care.
- Are working business professionals or students who require custom plans and scheduling.
Not sure if outpatient care is right for you? Not a problem! At SOBA New Jersey, we’ve made it our mission to ensure clients feel comfortable and confident in their recovery journeys. Our intake specialists can consult you in-person or over the phone to evaluate the most appropriate treatment options based on your unique needs and situation.
Local Stats You Need to Know
Camden County including Voorhees is in the grips of the opioid crisis and broader addiction issues affecting the entire Garden State. Early in 2025, the state reported 475 overdose deaths and 52 in Camden County alone.[1] The county ranks among the highest for overdose deaths, and previous years have totaled in the hundreds, including 326 overdose deaths in 2022.[2]
Opioids are the majority of the problem, but other drugs have been involved. County initiatives are helping, however. According to reports from first responders, naloxone was administered 1,769 times in 2022, showing how many lives could have been lost otherwise.[3] This makes up a significant portion of the state’s total naloxone administrations. However, the county also recorded over 283,000 opioid prescriptions, so there’s an ongoing risk of misuse.[4]
People are seeking help for substance abuse, however. According to the Substance Use Overview for Camden County, addiction treatment centers for detox, inpatient, and outpatient care reported 85,266 treatment admissions and nearly as many discharges, showing positive steps.[5] Centers for drug rehab in Voorhees reported 167 of the 3,923 total admissions across Camden County.[6]

Voorhees Drug & Alcohol Rehab Frequently Asked Questions
Who should go into medical detox?
Medical detoxification or detox is the process of providing medical supervision and care to new rehab patients who are at risk of severe withdrawal symptoms. Usually, patients who could have withdrawal complications are those who have become addicted to a strong narcotic or have been addicted for months or years. During the intake process at SOBA New Jersey, our specialists can determine if you should enter a detox program first or if it should be fine for you to start your other recovery programs without the need for detox.
Will my rehab program take a while?
SOBA New Jersey offers a variety of drug and alcohol rehab programs, and each can be personalized to your needs. With this said, the time that it takes you to start and end a rehab program will vary. Some people only need to spend a month or so with us in an outpatient program. Others will spend 60 or more days. You will know how long your rehab program should last before you start it, so you aren’t surprised or worried by its duration.
How much does rehab cost?
Every rehab program can have a unique cost because the treatments in it are unique to each patient. However, at SOBA New Jersey, we strive to make every rehab program accessible and affordable for more people. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has helped make this goal achievable because it requires healthcare insurance providers to also provide coverage for rehab and mental health treatments. If you have health insurance through your work, for example, then there is a good chance that it will help pay for rehab.
Am I allowed to bring my prescriptions to rehab?
You should never stop taking a prescription medication without first talking to your doctor. Therefore, we expect you to bring your necessary prescriptions to our rehab center. We require you to provide a list of your prescriptions and to keep them in original, clearly labeled prescription containers. We will need to inspect those containers and their contents when you first arrive at SOBA New Jersey, too.
What items aren’t allowed in the rehab center?
There is a full list of prohibited items at SOBA New Jersey that are not conducive to the recovery process. Alcohol, non-prescription drugs, sexually provocative materials or clothing, aerosol products, weapons, tobacco and cigarettes, and mirrors are some of the top items on that list. If you want to know the entire list of items that you aren’t allowed to bring to our rehab center, please call (888) 992-4376.
