David Martin

David is a Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counseling Intern certified in the state of New Jersey with years of experience in all facets of substance abuse treatment including housing, outpatient, and inpatient services. He graduated from Middlesex Community College with his certification in addiction studies and additionally earned his Peer Recovery Specialist certification through the NJ C.A.R.E.S program.

David has worked with diverse client populations with an eclectic, person-centered, therapeutic approach which he tailors to suit the client’s individual needs and goals by incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). David has assisted clients in enhancing their effectiveness in managing difficult life stressors while strengthening their ability to cope with personal challenges in a therapeutic space which allows for free expression of feelings and emotions.

A foundation of David’s multi-dimensional practice is to normalize the experience of receiving therapy. He strives to create maximum comfortability in the therapeutic process while reducing stigma and barriers clients may encounter and assisting them in obtaining additional support to address their needs and reach their goals.
