Biography
Renee is a Licensed Associate Counselor through New Jersey and a National Certified Counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors as well as a Credentialed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern. She had received her Master’s degree from The College of New Jersey with a focus in Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling. Renee has been working in the mental health field since 2016, primarily in the inpatient psychiatric setting working with teens and adults with co-occurring addiction and mental health based needed. Renee is currently working to expand her knowledge and use of trauma-informed practices through continued training to assist clients in the group, individual, and family therapy identify to identify and heal from traumatic experiences.
Renee practices from a person-centered, strengths-based perspective. Her aim in working with clients is to form a mutual understanding of goals while creating a non-judgmental space for clients to feel heard, share experiences, and build skills to work towards specified goals. Renee utilizes a variety of techniques tailored to each individual to provide encouragement, support, and confidence in lasting growth and change.
